Privacy Policy

Timelist is designed to work locally on your Mac. We do not collect your tasks, timer activity, or app preferences, and we do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.

Effective September 18, 2026

Information Timelist stores on your Mac

Timelist stores the information needed to operate the app locally on your device. This can include task names, task durations, timer settings, presets, appearance preferences, and trial status. This information is not transmitted to Timelist or stored on Timelist servers.

You can remove this local information by deleting the app and its associated application data from your Mac. Some trial information may be stored in the macOS Keychain so the app can preserve trial status across reinstalls.

Information we do not collect

Timelist does not require an account. We do not collect your task content, timer history, usage analytics, precise location, contacts, photos, identifiers for advertising, or diagnostic information. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Purchases and license verification

Mac App Store version

Purchases made in the Mac App Store are processed by Apple using StoreKit. Timelist receives only the purchase entitlement needed to unlock Pro features; it does not receive your full payment-card information. Apple handles information under its Privacy Policy.

Direct-download version

Purchases for the version downloaded from this website are processed by Polar. When you activate or verify a license, the app sends the license key to Polar's service and receives the license status needed to unlock Pro features. Polar may process purchase, contact, device, and payment-related information under its Privacy Policy. Timelist does not receive your full payment-card information.

Website

The Timelist website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. Like most websites, its hosting and security providers may automatically process standard technical information, such as an IP address, browser type, and request logs, to deliver and protect the site.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell or rent personal information. Information handled by Apple or Polar is retained according to their respective policies. Information stored locally by Timelist remains on your Mac until you remove it, reset the related setting, or delete the associated application data.

Children's privacy

Timelist is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if Timelist's features or privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest revision.
